Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Dali could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Demolition Series (2000/07A) changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 1,008.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Dali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinese Offspring in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 105,604.52).
