This artwork by Zhang Dali achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2020. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Demolition Series sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,134.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Dali have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chinese Offspring in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 105,604.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Dali erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde die Arbeit Demolition Series für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.134,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Dali auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chinese Offspring im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 105.604,52).
