A top price for Zhang Chong
This artwork by Zhang Chong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Ink Peony sold for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. This high result makes Ink Peony the most expensive artwork by Zhang Chong that we have observed at auctions so far.
