Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Admiring Bronze by Zhang Chong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,043.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Chong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ink Peony, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58).
