The work Lohan by Zhang Chong was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 78,000.00 (€ 8,122.76), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Chong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink Peony in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58).

Die Arbeit Lohan von Zhang Chong wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 78.000,00 (€ 8.122,76) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Chong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink Peony im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 58.014,58).
