The work Paper Bride by Zeng Chuanxing was worth GBP 168,500.00 (€ 241,977.09) to a buyer in October 2007. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zeng Chuanxing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paper Bride - Prayer sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of HKD 5,024,000.00 (€ 478,387.27).
