Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Dusk Skyline: Bride In Paper Series No.1(Painted In 2009) by Zeng Chuanxing was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 100,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 448,400.00 (€ 51,251.46). Admittedly, works by Zeng Chuanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paper Bride - Prayer in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 5,024,000.00 (€ 478,387.27).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Dusk Skyline: Bride In Paper Series No.1(Painted In 2009) von Zeng Chuanxing im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 100.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 448.400,00 (€ 51.251,46) mehr als viermal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zeng Chuanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paper Bride - Prayer im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.024.000,00 (€ 478.387,27).
