Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Barques Of St Tropez by Yvonne Canu. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,419.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yvonne Canu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crépuscule sur Paris in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 118,600.00 (€ 78,093.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barques Of St Tropez von Yvonne Canu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.419,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yvonne Canu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crépuscule sur Paris im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.600,00 (€ 78.093,11).
