Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Yves Tanguy was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,520.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Tanguy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L’Extinction des espèces II in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,131,250.00 (€ 3,519,989.38).

Die Arbeit Sans titre von Yves Tanguy wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.520,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Tanguy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L’Extinction des espèces II im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.131.250,00 (€ 3.519.989,38).
