Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Yun Hyong-Keun. The price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 198,710.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yun Hyong-Keun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 531,674.90).
