Upper estimate price exceeded by 98 %.
This artwork by Yun Hyong-Keun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work Umber - Blue sold for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yun Hyong-Keun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 531,674.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yun Hyong-Keun erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Umber - Blue für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 167.577,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yun Hyong-Keun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 531.674,90) versteigert wurde.
