This artwork by Yun Hyong-Keun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Burnt Umber & Ultramarine sold for GBP 139,700.00 (€ 158,935.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yun Hyong-Keun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 531,674.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yun Hyong-Keun erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Burnt Umber & Ultramarine für GBP 139.700,00 (€ 158.935,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yun Hyong-Keun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 531.674,90) versteigert wurde.
