The work Eight Works: i) Self-Portrait (b&w)/After Liza Minnelli ii) Self-Portrait (b&w)/After Sylvia Kristel, iii) Self-Portrait (b&w)/After Brigitte Bardot, iv) Self-Portrait (b&w)/After Greta Garbo v) Self-Portrait (b&w)/After Ingrid Bergman, vi) Self-Port by Yasumasa Morimura was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,490.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yasumasa Morimura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,770.00).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.490,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yasumasa Morimura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.770,00).
