The work The Blackboard by Yannis Kottis was sold in the Post Warand Contemporary ArtDay Auction auction at Christies in London in July 2010. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,047.75), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yannis Kottis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Blue Bicycle, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,635.25).

Die Arbeit The Blackboard von Yannis Kottis wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Post Warand Contemporary ArtDay Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.047,75) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yannis Kottis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Blue Bicycle beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.635,25) versteigert wurde.
