Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Sailing Boat by Yannis Kottis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,562.50 (€ 10,674.98), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yannis Kottis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blue Bicycle in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,635.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing Boat von Yannis Kottis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 10.674,98) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yannis Kottis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Blue Bicycle im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.635,25).
