The work Sequence Of Squares by Yamaguchi Takeo was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 140,751.85), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).

Die Arbeit Sequence Of Squares von Yamaguchi Takeo wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 140.751,85) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
