The work Rui by Yamaguchi Takeo was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,410.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rui von Yamaguchi Takeo wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.410,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
