Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Y. Z. Kami could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Y. Z. Kami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Maryam) in November last year with an auction result of USD 153,720.00 (€ 148,910.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Y. Z. Kami konnte im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.438,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Y. Z. Kami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Maryam) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.720,00 (€ 148.910,20).
