Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Urban Fiction No. 26 by Xing Danwen. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,236.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Xing Danwen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Urban Fiction 3 was auctioned for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Urban Fiction No. 26 von Xing Danwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.236,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Xing Danwen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2007 die Arbeit Urban Fiction 3 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29) versteigert.
