Inscribed and signed by the artist with two seals: Zhong Shang Lao Ren, Xiao Yun Cong, dated early spring of bingshen year (1656).
With three collectors' seals, including two of Wanyan Jingxian (1876-1926); small restorations.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xiao Yuncong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2015. In the Art d'Asie auction, the work PAYSAGE PANORAMIQUE, ENCRE ET COULEUR SUR PAPIER sold for EUR 313,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Yuncong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Endless Mountains, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 8,640,000.00 (€ 1,078,094.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Yuncong erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art d'Asie wurde die Arbeit PAYSAGE PANORAMIQUE, ENCRE ET COULEUR SUR PAPIER für EUR 313.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Yuncong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Endless Mountains beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 8.640.000,00 (€ 1.078.094,49) versteigert wurde.
