Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape by Xiao Yuncong was worth HKD 180,000.00 (€ 19,694.66) to a buyer in November 2005. This price was achieved in the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Yuncong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endless Mountains in July last year with an auction result of HKD 8,640,000.00 (€ 1,078,094.49).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Landscape von Xiao Yuncong war einem Käufer im November 2005 HKD 180.000,00 (€ 19.694,66) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Yuncong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Endless Mountains im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.640.000,00 (€ 1.078.094,49).
