Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xiao Yuncong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 6,225,000.00 (€ 666,483.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xiao Yuncong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Endless Mountains sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of HKD 8,640,000.00 (€ 1,078,094.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Yuncong erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 6.225.000,00 (€ 666.483,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Xiao Yuncong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Endless Mountains im Juli letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 8.640.000,00 (€ 1.078.094,49).
