Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xiao Yuncong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 780,000.00 (€ 78,346.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Yuncong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endless Mountains in July last year with an auction result of HKD 8,640,000.00 (€ 1,078,094.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Yuncong erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 780.000,00 (€ 78.346,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Yuncong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Endless Mountains im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.640.000,00 (€ 1.078.094,49).
