Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Dunrobin Castle from the east; and Dunrobin Castle from the west by Wycliffe Egginton. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,108.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Other works by Wycliffe Egginton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Homeward Bound was auctioned for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,816.13).

Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dunrobin Castle from the east; and Dunrobin Castle from the west von Wycliffe Egginton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.108,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Wycliffe Egginton konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Homeward Bound für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.816,13) versteigert.
