Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Secluded Spring No. 8 by Wucius Wong was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,401.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wucius Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Secluded Spring No. 8 von Wucius Wong wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.401,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wucius Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
