This artwork by Wucius Wong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work New Dream #8 sold for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,552.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wucius Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wucius Wong erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit New Dream #8 für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.552,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wucius Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
