Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work Mountainscape by Wucius Wong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 30,834.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wucius Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych), which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).

Die Arbeit Mountainscape von Wucius Wong kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 30.834,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wucius Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85) versteigert wurde.
