Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Yellowstone no.4 by Wucius Wong for HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,272.13). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Wucius Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yellowstone no.4 von Wucius Wong für HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.272,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wucius Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
