Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work River Dream #12 by Wucius Wong was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,320.57), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wucius Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit River Dream #12 von Wucius Wong wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.320,57) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wucius Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
