The work Reposeful Thoughts 2 by Wucius Wong was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 243,750.00 (€ 27,832.97), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wucius Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych), which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).

Die Arbeit Reposeful Thoughts 2 von Wucius Wong wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 243.750,00 (€ 27.832,97) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wucius Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sky-Land Expression 1 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85) versteigert wurde.
