Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blushes #101 by Wolfgang Tillmans was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2017. The price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 59,860.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blushes #101 von Wolfgang Tillmans wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 59.860,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
