This work without title by Winston Branch was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London auction at Christies in London in July last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 75,600.00 (€ 90,279.83), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Winston Branch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Magic is in You, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 239,400.00 (€ 274,897.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Winston Branch wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 75.600,00 (€ 90.279,83) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Winston Branch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Magic is in You beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 239.400,00 (€ 274.897,71) versteigert wurde.
