Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Winston Branch was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,992.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Winston Branch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Magic is in You in October this year with an auction result of GBP 239,400.00 (€ 274,897.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Winston Branch kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.992,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Winston Branch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Magic is in You im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 239.400,00 (€ 274.897,71).
