Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Winston Branch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Hibiscus in July sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,809.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winston Branch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Magic is in You in October this year with an auction result of GBP 239,400.00 (€ 274,897.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Winston Branch erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Hibiscus in July für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.809,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winston Branch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Magic is in You im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 239.400,00 (€ 274.897,71).
