Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Walcot could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work St Martin-In-The-Fields changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,140.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Walcot konnte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit St Martin-In-The-Fields für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.140,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Walcot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.900,00 (€ 33.793,07).
