Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Royal Exchange, London by William Walcot was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).
