Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Theatre Project By Inigo Jones by William Walcot was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in March 2008. The price achieved of GBP 938.00 (€ 1,178.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).

Die Arbeit A Theatre Project By Inigo Jones von William Walcot wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 938,00 (€ 1.178,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Walcot erzielen.
