Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Stanley Haseltine could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work New England Coast changed hands for USD 4,541.00 (€ 3,694.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Stanley Haseltine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Stanley Haseltine konnte im März 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit New England Coast für USD 4.541,00 (€ 3.694,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Stanley Haseltine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rocks at Narragansett im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 445.997,18).
