The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,546.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Samuel Schwartz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sun Bathers in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 47,000.00 (€ 52,467.07).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Samuel Schwartz kam im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.546,49) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Samuel Schwartz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sun Bathers im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.000,00 (€ 52.467,07).
