It achieved a price of USD 45,000.00 (€ 40,413.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Samuel Schwartz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sun Bathers sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of USD 47,000.00 (€ 52,467.07).
