In May 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection, which included the work Australian The Pinnacle by William Robinson. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 174,000.00 (€ 106,989.37), 45% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Robinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait, which sold at auction in May 2007 for AUD 696,000.00 (€ 427,957.48).

Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian The Pinnacle von William Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 174.000,00 (€ 106.989,37) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Robinson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für AUD 696.000,00 (€ 427.957,48) versteigert wurde.
