Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Over The Harbour Bar by William McTaggart was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2015. The price achieved of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 103,265.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by William McTaggart have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2008 the work The Past And The Present was auctioned for GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
