Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tracing the ship's course by William Maw Egley was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,598.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Maw Egley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catherine of Aragon in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,422.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tracing the ship's course von William Maw Egley kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.598,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Maw Egley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catherine of Aragon im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.422,70).
