Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by William Maw Egley was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 334.60 (€ 473.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Maw Egley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catherine of Aragon in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,422.70).
