The price achieved of GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,944.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Maw Egley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Catherine of Aragon in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,422.70).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.944,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Maw Egley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Catherine of Aragon im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.422,70).
