Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Mason Brown could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Hudson River changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,931.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Mason Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Melon, Grapes, Peaches, Pears and Black Raspberries in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 83,650.00 (€ 76,743.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Mason Brown konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
