The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,887.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Mason Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Melon, Grapes, Peaches, Pears and Black Raspberries in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 83,650.00 (€ 76,743.12).
