Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work 'Moon' Vase by William Marshall. The price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 941.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Marshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tall Vase With Brushed Motif, which sold at auction in March 2016 for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,683.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Moon' Vase von William Marshall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 813,00 (€ 941,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Marshall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tall Vase With Brushed Motif beobachtet, die im März 2016 für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.683,02) versteigert wurde.
