Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Marshall could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Large Shallow Bowl changed hands for GBP 438.00 (€ 496.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by William Marshall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tall Vase With Brushed Motif in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,683.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Marshall konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in Britain wechselte die Arbeit Large Shallow Bowl für GBP 438,00 (€ 496,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Marshall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tall Vase With Brushed Motif im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.683,02).
