This artwork by William Marshall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2016. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Small Beaker sold for GBP 563.00 (€ 710.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Marshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tall Vase With Brushed Motif, which sold at auction in March 2016 for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,683.02).
